Praxitar are delighted to announce that we’ve won the contract to re-write the Tracka.com site.
The first phase of the project will focus on replacing the ageing and buggy PHP table-based back end, which relies on JavaScript for it’s functionality. Whilst keeping the existing visual design, the site will be redeveloped from ground up in Ruby on Rails, with all new CSS and JavaScript (via JQuery) used unobtrusively where the user’s browser has it enabled.
The Tracka devices are manufactured and supplied by Cogent Technology Ltd and this project extends our excellent relationship with them, proving the value of our commitment to long-term customer service.
Update: The re-written first phase of the Tracka project went live in mid-June 2010, with the second phase, the visual enhancements including an animated Flash movie of the device in action, going live in early July. Both phases were delivered on time and to budget, and Cogent are delighted with the new site.
